Club Members Training
STRENGTH and CONDITIONING class designed to improve your cycling and running.
Members and partner's welcome. 16 + event.
Bring a towel/matt, Water bottle and some enthusiasm.
We will run this weekly until xmas to gauge the response as a trial.
If we have good attendance and members are enjoying it, we will run through until the end of the season in 2025!
McInherney Park 5.30 pm every Monday. This session is run by club member accredited Strength and Conditioning coach Rick .
Bike /Run sessions
Giving more value to our members with a regular Sunday Triathlon specific Brick session.
Session is for all members 14+ and our first session on October 20th will be a 60min ride with a 20min Run off the bike (ROTB). This will increase as we gain confidence and strength through each session.
Meet a Club shed at 6am for a ride brief and run through of riding etiquette.
Session will commence at 6.15am.
Bring what you need for the ride and run including nutrition and hydration.
Bike racks will be set up for transition practice.
This will be a NO DROP ride!
Details about sessions:
- Designed for all levels of ability.
- Educate on how to ride safely in a Peloton.
- Build confidence, and to promote enjoyment of road riding.
- Even if you are an experienced rider there is always something to learn or some knowledge that you can pass on to a newbie!
- Practice ROTB. A vital part of triathlon.
- This is a free weekly Sunday session leading up to Xmas to gauge members enthusiasm. No session on the days the club has events on already!
- Each session will be different and designed to train different areas. Eg/ Longer slower rides, short fast rides, Hills, longer ROTB or Short fast ROTB.
- Each ride will have a designated ride leader, all have 15+ years of riding experience.
- Ride leader will determine the route, length and type of each Brick session. The session will be posted on Friday/Saturday prior on our chat page.
- Ride leaders may offer advice and lessons during ride to individuals. Don’t take offence it’s to ensure safety of the peloton and educate you.
